  Full-rim glasses are glasses with a frame that completely surrounds the lenses, providing the lenses with maximum support and durability. This means that the edges of the spectacle lenses are fully covered without being exposed.

  Also known as half-rimless frames, frames surround only part of the eyeglass lens, usually with a frame at the top or bottom of the lens.
